I'd been looking for a casual place to take cast and crew, but no place seemed right - too loud, too small, etc. Then I had the pleasure of eating at BCD several times and was impressed with the consistent and high quality food each time. This is the place we go now when we've got a lot of hungry people to feed!

My 13 yr old granddaughter and i went to the big city diner for dinner last night. what a waste of money. we were greeted by being told we had to pay cash. that, along with the fact that the place was empty at diner time should have been our cue to go somewhere else. the deep fried pickle (s) was delicious but overpriced at $7.00 for one sliced deep fried pickle. two regular sized glasses of chocolate milk were overprices at $5.98. both of our dinners had coldslaw that was disgusting (and i'm not a picky eater). I had an 8oz vinegary tasting steak that appeared to be on something like half a hot dog bun cover in onion straws with fries. my granddaughter said her chicken wrap had gross tasting cheese stuff on it and was not at all tasty. this cost us $43.00. I wish I had taken my $43.00 to the grocery store instead.

Unfortunately we walked in, our first time, to a sign that said 'cash only' - luckily we had some handy. Our waitress was nice and friendly and obliged us as we took a few extra minutes to view the menu. The things we didn't like: our cokes were warm (despite ice being in the glass) and I'm not a fan of drinking warm soft drinks. Our nachos kinda tasted burnt. The french fries would be amazing had they not been covered with pepper - there's a reason why it's on the table, I was dismayed that my fries were 'ruined'. Our burgers were a bit well done but I guess I should have asked for mine medium.....and we had to ask for a refill because our waitress didn't see that we were waiting for another drink (to wipe the pepper outta my mouth). The good things: free refills on coke? She wrapped the remainder of our meals to go and was pleasant enough. The atmosphere was ok - good music. There are some people in there - they must be regulars or friends/family of people who work there - but they seem to take up a bit of time/space in the place (talking to waitresses, spreading books everywhere, playing cards etc) which I find interesting behaviour in a diner. First visit, probably my last. Wasn't what people said it was.

My Friend and I went on Sunday Aug 09 for Brunch. We were seated and then had to wait over 5 minutes until one of the other waitresses motioned for her to serve us. The service was horrible she took our orders incorrectly. Charged us for items that we were not told were extra and argued with us when we questiong the bill. My cutlerly was taken away and I had to ask another waitress for it back. The waitress was totally unattentive and kept walking away from us to chat with someone. We asked if she was new and the other server told us she had been there about 3 weeks. We asked to speak with the manager because she became beligerent and told us it was OUR fault not hers and there was no manager available. I never got offered a refill on my coffee or water and never asked if everything is ok.
Worst service that I have ever received in a restaurant (diner)
